The surface multiphase PCP is a positive displacement pump mainly composed of a stator and a rotor.

The rod pump can be connected to the lower end of sucker rod on the surface and then lowered into wells integrally through the tubing.

The tubing pump can be run in as follows: pump barrel is run into the setting depth along with the tubing, then connects plunger and the sucker rod, and puts them into the pump barrel. For tubing of same diameter, tubing pumps are always of larger capacity than rod pumps. The tubing pump is simple in structure and applicable for wells which is not deep and of high yield.

ESP cable is divided into round cable and flat cable. The cable consists of conductor, insulating layer, jacket and cable armor. According to the different requirements of power and different condition of oil well, there are different specifications of cable. There are 90℃, 120℃, 150℃, 180℃, 204℃, 232℃ and 250℃ according to temperature rating; there are 3kV and 6kV according to voltage rating. To prevent it from being damaged, we usually use galvanized steel armor, stainless steel armor or monel armor for corrosive medium. All of products are produced and tested complying with national standard GB/ T16750, IEEE or API Recommended Practice.

ESPCP fundamentally eliminates the problem of rod screw pump such as: the rod broke and limited by the deep and deviated wells. It also overcomes the problem that the pump efficiency is low when the pump transports viscosity crude. For ESPCP has no valve body and complex runner, little hydraulic loss, sucks and exhausts medium continually, uneasy to be blocked by sand and gas lock, so the fluid transported by pump has wide range which includes high viscosity, high wax content oil, sand or gas content oil.

The surface drive progressive cavity pump consists of a surface drive and a downhole progressive cavity pump (PCP). The surface drive transmits power to downhole PCP through the rotating motion of the sucker rod. PCP is a positive displacement pump. The rotor rotates within the stator, thus series of cavities are formed and progress gradually from the suction end to the discharge end. The formation fluids are then forced continuously from downhole to surface.

The sucker rod pump is driven by the motive power transmitted by pumping unit or sucker rods to pump out fluid in oil wells. The products comply with Technical Specifications on Underground Rod-Type Oil Well Pumps and Accessories (API Spec 11AX), and have acquired the authorization to use Official API Monogram. Besides standard tubular and sucker rod pumps, the company also produces anti-gas/sand/salt/carbon powder pumps, across bridge pumps, inclined well pumps and other special oil well pumps.

Sucker rod, as one of the key component of rod pumping equipment, using sucker rod string to transfer energy in the process of oil production, serves to transmit surface power or motion to downhole sucker rod pumps.

Conventional API C pumping units with walking beams, balanced by cranks, are among the most common and most widely used power units in rod oil production.
