Product Description
Steel wire ropes with excellent wear proof and crush resistant performance, good durability and high breaking force, are used as drilling lines. The 6 x 19 classification of wire ropes includes standard 6 strands, round strand ropes with 16 through 26 wires per strand. The 6 x 36 classification of wire ropes includes standard 6 strands, round strand ropes with 27 through 49 wires per strand. All the steel wire ropes conform to API 9A and API Monogram can be used.
Nomenclature example when specifying a rope:
1" x 5000' 6 x 19 S PFR RRL IPS IWRC
1" = Diameter of Line 5000' = Length of Line 6 = Number of Strands per Line 19 = Number of Wires per Strand S = Seale Pattern; Seale All layers contain the same number of wires. PRF = Preformed Strands are helically formed into the final shape. RRL = Right Regular Lay IPS = Improved Plow Steel with breaking strength between 1770 and1960 MPa. IWRC = Independent Wire Rope Core Technical Parameters
