Well Workover and Completion Solutions:
Bowen® salvage tools manufactured by National Oilwell Varco for over 85 years. Products include fishing tools, fishing impact tools (eg: jars, boosters, bumper subs, debris fishing tools), milling and cutting tools, and repair tools.
NOV provides a computer-controlled “fishing and drilling jar positioning program” that determines the optimal location of the jar in the drill string to maximize the impact energy of the jar, compensating for borehole angle, borehole curvature and frictional resistance effects for vertical, directional, and horizontal wellbore analysis.
NOV also offers a wide range of coiled tubing and wireline tools and flow control and coiled tubing completion equipment, including coiled tubing motors, jars and boosters, Agitator™ hydraulic oscillators, WOB transmission tools, joints, motor head assemblies, tools, fracturing tools, and many specialty products.

Service Equipment Solutions:
National Oilwell Varco specializes in the manufacture of downhole tool service equipment, whether it is a torque device for assembling tools or tool joints, or a test bench for checking operations and performance.
NOV manufactures drilling motors and jarring test equipment for tool performance checks prior to shipment. For remote and/or short-term drilling and workover projects, NOV offers mobile self-contained repair service facilities. Depending on the service capabilities required for a particular job, NOV packages service tools and equipment into highly mobile facilities. These facilities are designed to the specifications of standard ISO shipping containers for easy transportation as containers for quick dispatch to job sites.
Directional Control Solutions:
NOV reducing centralizers are suitable for deviated shafts. In such wellbore, control of inclination is of great importance. Reducer centralizers are hydraulically actuated, whether used in rotary drilling or in conjunction with downhole motors, and are the first choice for users due to their excellent reliability and specifications.
The BLACKSTAR™ EM measurement-while-drilling system uses electromagnetic signals to transmit precise wellbore control data in real time in a variety of drilling environments. Directional, pressure, gamma and focused gamma sensors are available for a variety of wellbore sizes and applications.
NOV Russell downhole steering tools provide accurate and reliable dip, azimuth, pressure, temperature and weight-on-bit information. NOV also provides product training, equipment calibration, software development, engineering, testing and product certification services to customers who purchase oriented tools.
IntelliServ® Broadband Network:
NOV IntelliServ is the market leader in high-speed, high-throughput, high-resolution, bi-directional broadband data transmission systems that enable real-time measurement, evaluation, monitoring and activation of downhole conditions through the integrated transmission, measurement and operation of broadband data. In addition, the broadband network provides the first redundant backup of the existing telemetry system.
The network now covers four continents for onshore and offshore drilling, vertical, deviated and horizontal well applications for data transfer from four different MWD and LWD equipment companies in real-time to independent Operating companies, international operating companies and national oil companies transmit data.
