The 2-1/2 carries a stainless steel shaft sleeve to protect its low alloy steel
shaft from abrasion and corrosion. Forum also offers ceramic coated and 17-4 PH
shaft sleeves on its pumps, for use with the alternative packing options. The 1-1/8
centrifugal pump is only offered with a standard, non-sleeved, stainless steel shaft.
