The top drive system is a power device placed on the top of the drilling tool in oil drilling instead of the turntable to directly drive the drilling tool to rotate for drilling construction. Its power is generally a hydraulic motor or an electric motor. Electric top drives are available in the form of DC, AC, and AC frequency conversion. It can effectively reduce and prevent the occurrence of downhole complex situations. When a slight collapse occurs, back reaming can be performed; during tripping, the drill string can be continuously rotated and mud can be circulated if necessary.
